In addition to being a commercially viable business, the
judges expect the winning candidate to set up a business that:

the surrounding community
- is accessible by public transport
- adds to the culture and vitality of the area
Some, but by no means all, of the possible business ideas
that the judges would be happy to consider include:
- theatre group or other performance-based organisation
- independent cinema
- art gallery / exhibition space or market
- social events – weddings etc
- crèche
- Olympics-related – eg exhibition hall and venue
Q
The plans show a disabled access lift – are any other
facilities being provided by the organizers?
A
In addition to the disabled access lift, the organisers will
also provide a disabled WC (position to be confirmed at a later
date). Competition entrants should note that the organisers will
provide the facilities shown on the plans.
Your business proposal should include any costs for facilities
over and above what is shown.

Are parking spaces available at the development to the competition
winner?
A
No parking spaces are available at the site. In line with
the Mayor’s London Plan, the development will make use
of the existing transport capacity. The site has excellent tube,
